If I can wait … a little longer
Then my love for you … will be much stronger
When we’re apart … my heart’s not still
It beats for you and always will

If not with you … each night and day
I thought our love … might fade away
But then you call me on the phone
Since we’re not meant to be alone

If I can wait … another day
Another night while you’re away
I know that when your face I see
The fire of love will burn in me

I know that I must wait for you
I know your love for me is true
I know we’ll be together soon
I know one day we’ll honeymoon

If I can wait … our love will grow
If anything … it’s this I know
The day on which we soon shall meet
Each touch and kiss will be so sweet
